I hardly ever leave reviews but we dined here today for the first time after someone recommended this place. We ordered edamame, the cucumbers, fried chicken, yum ramen and beef noodle soup. EVERYTHING we ordered was so good! This is an authentic little gem with such great flavors. The service was friendly and attentive. He mentioned items that were not yet on the menu. It’s reasonably priced. Clean restaurant. We will definitely be back and are looking forward to trying different menu items!
I had the yum ramen, my son had seafood noodles soup, and my daughter had Naengmyeon which is a cold noodle soup. It was all great. My ramen had a nice spice and the meatballs were fire. All around, fire. My son said his was fire and I just took his word for it cause i don’t like seafood 🤢. My daughter didn’t care for hers but me and my son both tried hers and thought it was awesome, it was a good sweet and sour type of flavor. The kids had boba’s to drink and I had the green tea milk which was also really good. I’ll definitely recommend and be back.
Man!! This place is such a gem, if you haven’t been here you HAVE to try it. We could eat here every day! I told my husband that this is the best food I’ve ever had lol. The #1 Beef Noodle Soup is 1000/10. The #5 is also phenomenal. We also enjoyed the Pork Bao Bun and fried shrimp Wontons. The service was amazing, we loved our waitress Princess 💜
Ordered the #5 Beef Rice Noodle Pho....OUTSTANDING presentation and taste. Had the #1 appetizer Shrimp Egg Rolls...Delicious 😋😋😋 First time ever trying Boba Milk Tea...It was very refreshing and wonderful. I'd give this restaurant 10 Stars if I could.... Merrillville is lucky to have this restaurant in their town... I wish the owners great success and know they will do great. Give them a try if you desire excellent food and a friendly eating atmosphere. 4/25/25 Went back several times and yet to have a meal that was unacceptable. Today ordered the #2 Chicken Bowl ....Delicious !!! Also has the Shrimp Egg Rolls and Caramel Boba Tea... Best place in the Region for Asian Delicacies!!! Returned 2/6/26 Ordered the Shrimp Rice Bowl and Shrimp Egg Rolls...Both were delicious 😋 Returned 3/10/26 Love the food , atmosphere and great service. YingYing is so accommodating and nice to her customers. I ordered the #5 Beef Pho Noodle soup and requested a couple Shrimp to be added and to have the jalapeño chopped into smaller pieces. To hear a response of "Sure, I can do that not a problem!" makes me want to come back more and more.
This family owned business has food with a very unique taste. As I learned the meaning behind the food and how the dishes came about, it makes me want to try every dish on the menu. I have never tasted Asian food made with cilantro and it's delicious. I love the portion sizes. So get on over to Yum Noodles and try one of their amazing dishes.
What an excellent find not far from I-65! The food was fresh, homemade and delicious! The service was outstanding, and the server made sure we were pleased with all. We especially loved the stir-fried mifun.The portions were ample and our only minor complaint would be that they used plastic silverware for a sit down meal.
As a Chinese, I’m usually super picky about noodles, but Yum Noodle honestly surprised me. The noodles taste pretty authentic, especially for an area without many Chinese people around, and they give SO much meat I almost forgot I ordered noodles. The owner lady is super nice, there’s plenty of parking, the atmosphere is cozy, and the bathroom is really clean. They also have a lot of variety — not just Chinese noodles but even Vietnamese pho and rice, etc. lots of different appetizers as well. 🥘 Definitely going to become a regular here. My ancestors would approve.
My coworkers and I went to Yum Noodle for lunch and to say the least, this place is INCREDIBLE. I had the Thai black milk tea, Yum Ramen, spicy and sour cucumbers, and the fried hot dog. All of them were "omg" worthy. There is love in this food, and it's very authentic. The ingredients were all fresh, I have zero complaints! The owner who took our order and the young lady working with her were both kind, knowledgeable, and fun. Overall, it was a 10/10 dining experience. I will absolutely be returning and telling everyone about this place. Don't be afraid because it looks a little run down on the outside, it's a true diamond in the rough.
I recently visited yum noodle just on a lunch break and had a pretty solid experience overall. The menu offered a wide variety of classic dishes there was something for everyone the food came out hot and was displayed very well. I would definitely recommend this place to any and everyone. And I would definitely go back.
The owner Yingying was very friendly and served us with a smile. Food was hot and delicious, and not salty or greasy. We ordered a sweet & sour cucumber appetizer, two Yum plates with purple rice (chicken, beef), beef Pho, and Yum beef bowl. Chinese donuts were soft, light, airy, lightly sugar coated and not greasy. Atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing. We'll be going back to try other dishes.
